Evaluation at home

A physical therapist examines you in your own home and builds a plan around the rooms you live in. This is where almost everyone starts.

This care is for you if

  • You want a plan that fits your own stairs, chairs and floors

  • A clinic visit would mean rearranging your day or your recovery

  • A doctor suggested physical therapy and you are not sure where to start

  • You want to understand what is going on before you decide on more care

What a visit looks like

  • What we do

Ani asks about your week and what you want to get back to. She watches you stand, walk, reach and climb, checks strength and movement, explains what she finds in plain words and agrees on goals with you.

  • What decides how many visits

What she finds, what you want to do again, how your body responds and what your doctor or surgeon has asked for. Ani talks it through with you at the first visit and as you go.

  • Who treats you

Ani Sarkis, a physical therapist, at every visit. Nobody else comes to your door.

    Meet Ani
  • How it is paid for

You pay Satchel directly, and you get a written estimate before your first visit. We do not bill Medicare or other plans.

    How fees work
  • Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.

Questions about this care

Does the first visit include treatment?

Yes. Your first visit is an examination and, if Ani finds it appropriate, the start of treatment and a short list of exercises to do before the next one.

Do I need to see a doctor first?

In Nebraska, you can start without a referral. Your plan may still ask for one. If your symptoms came on suddenly, are getting worse or worry you, see a physician first. Ani tells you if something belongs with one.

Can someone join the visit?

Yes. Many people ask a spouse, a grown child or a friend to sit in, and Ani can show them how to help.

Ready when you are
