Recovery after surgery

Physical therapy at home after an operation, once your surgeon says you can start. For people who would rather not manage a car ride and a waiting room while they heal.

This care is for you if

  • Your surgeon has cleared you to start physical therapy

  • Getting in and out of a car is hard right now

  • You want help with the stairs and the chair you actually use

  • Someone at home wants to know how to help

What a visit looks like

  • What we do

Ani follows your surgeon's instructions. She works on movement, strength and walking, then shows you the exercises you can do on your own. With your permission, she sends your surgeon's office a short note after visits.

  • What decides how many visits

What your surgeon has asked for, what you can do comfortably, how your body responds and what you want to do again. Ani adjusts the plan as you change.

  • Who treats you

Ani Sarkis, a physical therapist, at every visit. Nobody else comes to your door.

    Meet Ani
  • How it is paid for

You pay Satchel directly, and you get a written estimate before your first visit. We do not bill Medicare or other plans.

    How fees work
  • Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.

Questions about this care

Do I need my surgeon's approval?

Bring or send your surgeon's instructions before the first visit, and tell the office you are seeing a physical therapist at home. Ani follows what your surgeon has asked for.

What if something looks wrong?

Call your surgeon's office the same day for new swelling, warmth, redness or a fever. Chest pain or trouble breathing needs emergency care: call 911.

Can you work with my surgeon's office?

Yes, with your permission. Ani can call or send a short note, so your surgeon knows how you are moving.

Ready when you are

Book a visit at your home, or start with the free 15-minute phone call. Either way, tell Ani what you want to get back to when she arrives. We do not ask for it in the form.
